your whale watching cruise now!
New whale and dolphin watching mini cruises have been launched
by P&O Ferries in conjunction with the Biscay Dolphin
Research Programme (BDRP).
Scientists from BDRP will lead two special cruises, in July
and September, on board the Pride of Bilbao, which sails from
Portsmouth to Spain. The ship is widely regarded as one of
the best viewing platforms in the world from which to see
whales and dolphins, plus oceanic birds, as they pass through
the Bay of Biscay.
The three-night cruises cost from £118 per person based
on two people sharing an en suite cabin and include a full
programme of events.
P&O
Ferries has been supporting the research of scientists
from the BDRP since 1995 and more than 20 different species
have been recorded, including a rare sighting of the largest
animal on the planet, a Blue Whale.
On arrival in Spain there are three optional excursions to
choose from - a popular choice being a visit to the landmark
Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
